Head of Department to Mass Comm,Heritage Poly ,Esther George Attends to Crucial Issues, Appoints Acting HoD , Says Ubong Andem

 

Ubong Andem has urged his enthusiast students not to spread the news that he has been appointed as the new head to department of Mass Communication, that he is only acting in the capacity of Esther George

It was Mr. Ubong Andem , a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication,Heritage Polytechnic, Eket, who said, that the Head to the Department, Esther George is attending crucial issues for the betterment of the department ,while doing so, he has been appointed as the acting Head of the Department (HoD) by the Governing Council to the department ,till she returns.

Esther George, a Ph.D student at the University of Uyo,  studying Development Communication ,was on the 28th day of May 2021, appointed as the first Female Head of the Department by the management of Heritage Polytechnic and the Governing Council to the department. Geroge, is a mother of two and  she  has been a capacity leader till date.

The acting HoD is a Ph.D student at the University of Uyo, specialising in Broadcasting and Film studies. Andem has served the department meritoriously  which qualifies him for the position.

Following the rumours fabricating the  social media that Andem has been appointed as the new departmental head, the acting HoD took to his facebook page on Tues 9 March, 2022, telling the general public to disregard such news, adding that the leadership of the department hasn't changed and not even in a haste to do so.

Andem warns that, his enthusiasts students should dissuade from divulging premature news.

According to him, " The head of the department Mrs. Esther George who is my boss, has mandated me to act in her capacity while she attends to crucial issues for the betterment of the department.

" I appreciate all the well wishes from the students community, friends and colleagues," he said.
