| It was a rushed hour for participants of Heritage Polytechnic pageantry |

The heavy down pour on Wednesday night , 11 May, has interrupted the said pageantry hosted by Heritage Polytechnic, Ikot Udota, Eket, on the school campus.
Students were already seated when the rain started at about 8.30pm , few hours to begin the event. The heavy down poor made students run sporadically.
Following the complaints by students, the event would not have been hosted in an open ground where there is no tent. They said, planning committee to the event failed to seek advice from experienced people adding that, students of the institution that would have contributed to the success of the show were sidelined.
Few hours after the rain subsides, Mass Communication Gallery was announced as the location to continue with the show on the campus.
Students, villagers, strangers have expressed anger on the poor planning efforts by the committee members. They said there is need to change the governing body.
